Uncomfortable stay but good location

I knew it was a risk staying at a Hyatt Place as Ive always had back experiences but the rating was a 4 star and I was able to use points. Unfortunately it was as I feared. Room temperature way too hot even though it was 30 degrees outside. Shower looked like it belonged in a truck stop. The water pressure in the sink was very low. There was some brown liquid that leaked into the sink. Looked like sewage. The room had a nice view of the mountain which was good and coffee in the morning was fine. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. The other good thing was the free parking.

Excellent location and comfort

Hyatt Place is within walking distance to Keystone Mountain House and the views of the mountain are amazing. The beds were super comfy, the service was excellent and the hotel had everything my teen daughter and I needed on our first ski trip. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and offered suggestions for restaurants, transportation and weather tips.

Fun Ski Trip

Excellent hotel. Clean. Good staff. Outstanding breakfast. Within walking distance to base of mountain. Ski rental right around the corner . Did not like the unexpected resort fees however i guess that is normal in the hotel business anymore.

Mountain side

This place rocks! We’ve skied in North America and Europe and love this location. Upon arriving on Tuesday for a 4 night stay, husband requested mountain side view and our request was granted because of our Hyatt status. We found the staff to be incredibly helpful and down right friendly. The lobby is cozy and there is a beautiful fireplace and bar just beyond. Local newspapers and WSJ right on table every day for guests. On the ground floor there are lockers for guest to store ski equipment. We had no problem parking our car on Friday night and the hotel was packed. The front desk will park your car if you can’t find a spot. So happy to see Hyatt brought back skillet breakfast. Lots of bacon, potatoes, eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit and delicious breads. During the course of our stay we saw, cowboy skillet with pulled pork, pancakes, and French toast. We had a suite which was fabulous. 2 bathrooms and pullout king sofa bed plus a separate bedroom. If you’re familiar with the regular Hyatt Place, do note that not every room here is a mini suite. You may get a sofa in your room, but it’s not a separate space. The Mountain View rooms offer really nice views of Keystone and the mountains in the area. There is a quaint park like setting behind the hotel where people run, walk their dogs and walk over to Keystone. You get free night skiing on your arrival night! We walked over to Keystone and took the free shuttle there to the village with shops and restaurants. This is literally a five-ten minute walk. That said we walked to Snake River Saloon for happy hour every day which is about 800ft from hotel. There is a pizza shop right around the corner and a soup & whiskey bar too. Prices are very reasonable and the food we had was all good. There is also a mini mall across the street offering groceries and beverages. Ski rentals available just steps from hotel in 3 different places. Christy Sports by Snake River Saloon, by the pizza shop and across the street. We stopped at Costco on the way out of Denver, but we could have got everything we needed within steps from the hotel. Both hot tub areas were very nice and clean. The one off the 5th floor offers views of the slopes at Keystone. This property is a very solid Hyatt Place in a perfect location. There is a water hydration station around the corner behind the front desk. There are also humidifiers in the rooms. The air is very dry out in Colorado. We found we drank a lot of water and used skin lotions more frequently. This property gets 5 stars because the overall experience offered is incredible. We’ll be back.

Another great stay! So convenient for skiing!

We had another wonderful stay at the Hyatt Place Keystone! This was our first stay while the resort was open and the walk to the lifts is literally 5 minutes. As an Explorist, we were upgraded to a king room facing the slopes and watched the groomers running each night. Highly recommend! The room itself was compact but functional, with a cozy bed, coffee maker, mini-fridge and plenty of lighting and outlets. Breakfast was wonderful, clean and stocked. Loved the fresh fruit and berries each day, and the oatmeal was perfect! We're already planning our next trip!
